CEO and CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Hello, I’m Jill, a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), Clinical Director, and CEO of Nebraska Mental Health Centers.
I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology–Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska in 2005. I began my career as a therapist at Nebraska Mental Health Centers before gaining additional experience in residential and outpatient behavioral health settings in both Colorado and Nebraska. I later returned to NMHC and now serve as its owner and CEO.

As CEO and Clinical Director, I wear a lot of hats. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, I provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed therapists and help train and support Master’s-level practicum students. I enjoy helping developing clinicians build their skills and confidence as they grow into independent professionals.

Clinically, my areas of interest and experience include cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal relationships, trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, and adjustment concerns. I have particular experience working with adolescent girls and young women with complex symptoms and histories of trauma, abuse, and interpersonal violence. I am also certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and serve as a PCIT Within-Agency Trainer.

I’m a Nebraska native and grew up in Beatrice, with a few adventures along the way that took me to Miami and Denver before returning home to Nebraska. I now live in Lincoln with my husband and children. Outside of NMHC, I enjoy staying involved in the Lincoln community and am an active member of the Junior League of Lincoln.
