Katie A. Saba, M.A., PLMHP
PSYCHOLOGY INTERN
Hi, y’all! My name is Katie, and I’m a Doctoral Intern at NMHC. Originally from North Carolina, I recently moved from Cincinnati, OH, to Lincoln! I have four years of clinical experience working in a few different settings, with people who identify in various ways. While my training has been more generalist, I feel most passionate about working with young adults and adults who have experienced trauma.
My style is humanistic, as I use creativity to cater interventions to the needs of the person in front of me. I weave elements of behavioral therapies (ACT, CBT, and DBT) with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Interpersonal Process (IP) therapies. My overall goal is the foster a compassionate, non-judgemental space to help clients make progress toward the life they want.
Outside of the clinic, you can find me spending time with my animals (a dog and two cats!) as well as thrifting, going to yoga classes, playing volleyball, decorating my home, and attending local events.
